VIDEO: Man uses ax to break into Connecticut military museum

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — A break-in at a Connecticut military museum was caught on camera.

Police responded to a burglar alarm at the Greater Middletown Military Museum Tuesday.

Video surveillance obtained by police shows the masked suspect using an ax to gain entry into the rear of the museum.

Items from the museum were taken, police said. Museum officials tell Associated Press affiliate WVIT-TV that the suspect took a replica .45 caliber automatic pistol from a Vietnam War display and did not get anything of value.

Police responded to a burglar alarm at the Greater Middletown Military Museum Tuesday.
