Sheryl Lee Ralph talks 'Motherland: Fort Salem' and her latest philanthropic efforts

NEW YORK — Actress, singer and longtime HIV/AIDS activist Sheryl Lee Ralph has kept busy with roles on Broadway, television and in film, including fan-favorites "Moesha" and "Sister Act 2."

Ralph currently stars in the empowering, female-driven drama "Motherland: Fort Salem."

Ralph has also always supported many charitable causes and recently teamed up with Cameo to give back to important causes.

If you sign up and donate you get a personalized video message from Ralph or other celebs, while raising awareness and money for Project Angel Food, a nonprofit that prepares and delivers healthy meals to feed people impacted by serious illness.

The collaborative efforts also help raise money for Ralph's own Diva Foundation.

On the hit series "Motherland: Fort Salem," Ralph plays President Kelly Wade, a charismatic and knowledgeable leader with a serious edge.

Motherland: Fort Salem" airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. on Freeform. There is one episode left until the series finale on May 20th. You can also catch up on the show on Hulu.
