NEW YORK — The Birthright AFRICA program inspires youth and young adults of African descent, between the ages of 13 and 30, to explore their cultural roots and legacy of innovation within the United States and select nations in Africa as a birthright.

Co-Founder Walla Elsheikh told PIX11 how she created the program and why it's so important for so many.

Through travel and project-based learning in collaboration with its partners, the program aims to instill pride, enhance confidence, and spark the creativity of its scholars to fulfill their leadership and entrepreneurial aspirations.
