CLINTON HILL, Brooklyn — Dozens of families in Brooklyn said their building had not received mail for eight weeks.
Tyree Stanback, the tenant association president of the Lafayette Gardens, said there’d has been no mail service for his entire building at 345 Classon Ave.
Stanback said there is nothing wrong with the mailboxes, but that service just stopped.
“They just suspended service. There is no communication. A lot of people are waiting for time sensitive mail, such as unemployment, stimulus checks, checks from an employer,” said Stanback.
A spokesperson for the U.S. Postal Service said it was a security issue that caused the stoppage.
Mail was finally delivered Wednesday afternoon.
