MAPLETON, Brooklyn — Two people are sought in connection with an assault and robbery of two women at the Avenue I subway station in Brooklyn Thursday, police said.

The report came in at 12:10 a.m. on Thursday. Two unidentified individuals approached two women, 20 and 21, while on the platform stairs on the F line. The two individuals were brandishing a knife and a taser.

The women, police said, were tourists visiting from Israel.

They forcibly took the victims' iPhones, pocketbooks containing cash and credit cards. The individuals fled in an unknown direction. The victims were taken to Maimonides Hospital after sustaining cuts and bruises.

The first individual is a woman, described as 16-19 years old, 5-feet-3-inches, 140 pounds and last seen in a dark coat and black sweatpants with the Nike "JUST DO IT" slogan.

The second individual is a man, described as 16-19 years old, 6-feet, 140 pounds and last seen wearing a black coat and black Addidas sweatpants.
