PRINCE'S BAY, Staten Island — A pregnant woman was among five people who were injured Saturday in a high-speed crash in Staten Island, a police source said on Sunday.
First responders were called to the intersection of Hylan Boulevard and Luten Avenue in Prince’s Bay around 4 p.m., according to police.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided head-on with another vehicle, police said.
One person was arrested at the scene, according to the NYPD.
The 28-year-old woman was taken to Staten Island University South Hospital in critical condition, police said. Four others were also treated at the hospital, according to the FDNY.
