QUEENS — Women in Queens are wanted for a series of assaults and a grand larceny, police said Thursday.
They assaulted three senior citizens, ages 89, 81 and 73, according to the 110th precinct. One victim broke her hip.
On Wednesday, the 73-year-old victim was followed into an elevator in her Flushing building, police said. The attackers took her phone and grabbed the woman's bag. The victim held onto her bag as the perpetrators ran and was pulled down a set of stairs.
The 81-year-old victim was robbed at the Elmhurst Avenue - Broadway subway station, an NYPD spokesman said. She was grabbed as she added money to her MetroCard. Her attacker took her purse and shoved her to the ground.
Also on Wednesday, an 89-year-old woman was in the elevator of an apartment building near 31st Drive and 21st Street when the robbers got in and took her purse, police said. The purse had $200 cash, five checks and a MetroCard.
Police have asked for help identifying the women. Both are believed to be between 18 and 26 years old. One woman is about 5 feet, 3 inches tall. She has a thin build and black hair. The woman was last seen wearing a black bubble jacket and red and white Jordan sneakers.
The other woman is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall. She was last seen wearing a blue jacket, grey sweatpants, and blue sneakers.
