Car crashes into above-ground subway column in Queens: FDNY

WOODSIDE, Queens — Two people were hospitalized after a vehicle struck a column of an elevated, above-ground subway line in Queens, authorities said.

According to the FDNY, the call came in just after 7:30 a.m. for the crash near the intersection of 65th Place and Roosevelt Avenue, in the Woodside section of the borough.

The No. 7 train runs along the elevated tracks above this intersection.

Officials said two people were rushed to Elmhurst Hospital. Their conditions are not known at this time.
