$9,000 worth of property stolen from 75-year-old man's apartment: police

ASTORIA, Queens — Police are searching for the man who allegedly took nearly $10,000 from a 75-year-old man’s apartment in Astoria last month.

On Nov. 8, the victim was checking his storage area inside his bedroom and discovered some of his personal property was missing, police said.

Investigation revealed a man was caught on surveillance in the 33rd Street apartment.

Once inside, the man removed about $9,000 from the victim’s bedroom and fled.
