29-year-old man fatally struck in Queens hit-and-run: police

FLUSHING, Queens — Police are looking for the driver of an SUV that fatally struck a man in Queens early Tuesday, according to the NYPD.

Authorities said it was just before 2 a.m. when a 29-year-old man was crossing the street at the intersection of College Point Blvd. and Booth Memorial Avenue, right by the Queens Botanical Garden in Flushing.

According to police, a late model Jeep struck the man in the intersection and then fled the scene.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

The investigation remains ongoing, according to the NYPD.
