Police unions fight to keep disciplinary records sealed

NEW YORK CITY — A state statute shielding members of law enforcement from ever having their disciplinary records published to the public was repealed this summer.

But Tuesday, several NYPD unions argued in federal court for an injunction, asking for a delay in the release of those records.
