BAYONNE, N.J. — A woman angry about long lines at a Motor Vehicle Commission office smashed computer equipment, assaulted two staffers and kicked police officers as they tried to arrest her, authorities said.

Shawna Joseph was told to leave the MVC office in Bayonne after she became irate Tuesday, officials said. The 28-year-old Jersey City resident then returned about two hours later and caused another disturbance. When she was confronted, Joseph allegedly pushed the office manager and began breaking computer equipment.

She then struggled with the manager, a security guard and police before she was arrested, authorities said.

Joseph faces numerous charges, including criminal mischief, drug possession and aggravated assault.
