UNION CITY, N.J. — The death of a New Jersey man found dead under an overpass is being investigated, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said Monday.

The victim was found dead at the border of Union City and Hoboken at 9 a.m. Monday in the area of 14th Street and Manhattan Avenue. The identity of the male victim is unknown.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at around 9:40 a.m. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of a medical examiner.

The Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit is actively investigating the case with assistance from the Union City Police Department.
