BOUND BROOK, N.J. — The red tags on the doors tell the story: several apartments, just off the main drag in Bound Brook, New Jersey are dark and empty following a devastating fire.
There are already unconfirmed whispers among residents in this community this blaze was set intentionally; arson. But to be clear there is currently no official cause, pending an investigation that could take weeks, if not months, to complete.
The fire which sparked near a construction site and boarding house and then jumped across West Main Street, destroyed homes and businesses alike, in a town that has seen its fair share of Mother Nature induced heartache, including the floods caused by Hurricane Floyd in 1999.
The Red Cross is now hard at work assisting all of the families that have been displaced and businesses that have been destroyed. It's a town that is forced to rebuild for the second time in two decades.
