NEW JERSEY — The New Jersey Turnpike Authority, following in Port Authority's footsteps, has suspended cash toll collections on the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway as a way to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Port Authority had suspended cash tolls on all Hudson River crossings.
Cameras will capture license plate images of vehicles on the New Jersey Turnpike or Garden State Parkway that do not have E-ZPass, officials said. A bill for the toll will be mailed to the home of the vehicle's registered owner.
