LOWER MANHATTAN — Commuters headed home from work had to deal with flooded streets in Lower Manhattan Monday night after a water main break.
Streets were filled with water near South Street and Catherine Slip.
There are several New York City Housing Authority Buildings nearby.
Car tires were submerged in water.
Department of Environmental Protection Crews responded to the scene.
There have been several water main breaks over the last month. There was a break by Lincoln Center, one at 101st Street and Central Park West and one in Morningside Heights.
