EAST HARLEM — A 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged on Friday in the shooting of a 7-year-old girl in East Harlem, police said Saturday.
The girl was grazed by a bullet on Thursday evening after a large group got into a fight near East 102nd Street and Park Avenue, according to the NYPD.
The teen, who police are not identifying because of his age, is accused of opening fire and striking the girl in the leg.
A 19-year-old man was shot in the leg as well, police said.
Both were treated at a hospital.
The teen suspect was charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
