WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan — Police are investigating after a man's body was discovered on the shore of the Hudson River in Manhattan early Friday, the NYPD said.
According to authorities, cops responded around 2 a.m. to reports of an unconscious person found on the shoreline of the Hudson, in the vicinity of West 174th Street in Washington Heights.
Responding officers discovered an unidentified man unconscious and unresponsive.
EMS responded and transported the man to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
