FORT GEORGE, Manhattan — A 14-year-old girl headed home from school was slashed in the face in Fort George, police said Thursday.
The teen needed surgery after the Feb. 11 attack, officials said.
She'd been on an M191 bus with other teens when a dispute started with "an unknown group of females" on the bus, police said. The teen and her group got off the bus at 191st Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue. They were confronted by a group of males in addition to the group from the bus.
A 17-year-old victim's phone was also taken.
Police have asked for help identifying the slasher. He was spotted on surveillence video from the area.
