HARLEM, Manhattan — A 13-year-old boy was fatally pinned by a stolen SUV in Harlem on Saturday night, police said.
He was a passenger in the Nissan Pathfinder, officials said. The 15-year-old driver, who was also hospitalized, was arrested on charges of grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
The driver ignored a red light and made a left onto Morningside Avenue from 116th Street, police said. Both teens exited the SUV while it was still moving. The Pathfinder hit a parked Ford Fiesta, then flipped, pinning the 13-year-old boy.
The NYPD has not released any additional identifying information.
