BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A man was fatally stabbed on a J train in Brooklyn early Tuesday morning, police said.
The stabbing happened around 2:30 a.m. on a northbound train near the Lorimer Street station, according to the NYPD. The unidentified victim suffered stab wounds to his back and neck, police said.
The suspect ran off the train at Lorimer Street and fled the station, police said.
The victim stayed on the train until it stopped at the Flushing Avenue station. He was taken to NYC Health & Hospitals/Woodhull, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Police are still searching for the suspect.
The victim’s identity is being withheld until his family is notified.
