Barstool founder Portnoy helps Long Island restaurant keep employees paid

LONG ISLAND — A relief fund started by Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy is pledging to help struggling businesses in need of a financial lifeline.

Portnoy is contributing $500,000 to begin the #BarstoolFund, which will hand out money to companies that are still paying their employees.

A local restaurant on Long Island will be the first to receive the assistance.
