NEW YORK — After experiencing bias and mistreatment from various businesses, two women from Colorado decided to create a website to give people of color a safe space to share their own encounters with discrimination.

They call it a modern-day, digital “Green Book,” a reference to the guide that helped African Americans travel through the Jim Crow-era United States by offering tips on safe places to eat and sleep.

Parker McMullen Bushman, co-founder of Inclusive Journeys, chatted with the PIX11 Morning News Wednesday about the inspiration behind creating their digital version of a “Green Book.”
