Group beats woman, steals her shoes 1 mile from gang assault of teenage girl

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn — A group of at least eight beat and robbed a woman in Brooklyn on Sunday morning a mile from where a 15-year-old girl was attacked and robbed, police said.

The 26-year-old woman was at Patchen Avenue and Bainbridge Street around 4 a.m. when she was assaulted, officials said. She was punched, kicked and stomped on. Her purse, wallet and sneakers were taken.

In the Utica Avenue attack on the teen, a large group swarmed the victim, then attacked, taking her sneakers, phone and debit card, police said. Arrests have been made, but the NYPD is looking for additional attackers.

Police have not released any images of the attackers in the Sunday assault.
