CLINTON HILL, Brooklyn — A man has been arrested in connection with a series of seven cases of forcible touching in Brooklyn this past week, police said.
Kevin Jenkins, 26, was taken into custody Saturday and was cited in an eighth, previously unknown incident. He's been charged with 10 counts of sexual abuse, eight counts of forcible touching and one count of acting in a manner injurious to a child.
The newest incident cited took place on April 28 at 3:50 p.m. on the corner of Vanderbilt Avenue and Lafayette Avenue. A 28-year-old woman was walking when Jenkins allegedly approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks. He then fled in an unknown direction.
Jenkins was initially reported to have approached a 40-year-old woman from behind and grabbed her buttocks on May 1. The incident took place at 8 a.m. at Fort Greene Place and Dekalb Avenue. The man fled on foot northbound toward Willoughby Street and St. Edwards Street.
Seven reports of the man committing similar offenses came in for Thursday, May 7, all within a period of about an hour and 20 minutes.
None of the victims were seriously injured.
