EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn — A woman was taken into custody after an 85-year-old man was found stabbed to death inside his Brooklyn apartment.
Authorities were called to the Lefferts Avenue apartment around 10 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
Officers arrived to find Edill Gonzales unconscious and unresponsive with several stab wounds throughout his body, according to police.
Gonzales was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A 48-year-old woman was taken into custody, and a knife was recovered at the scene, police said.
The woman is expected to be charged with murder, Chief Rodney Harrison said Friday. The woman and man were likely "known to each other," he added.
Officials said a dispute led up to the incident.
