FLATBUSH, Brooklyn — Two people, including a 12-year-old boy, are dead and several others were injured after fire broke out at a Brooklyn apartment early Monday, authorities said.

Authorities responded to a residential fire at 30 Linden Blvd. in Flatbush just before 2 a.m.

Firefighters extinguished the fire at the five-story apartment.

Four people, a 12-year-old boy, a 69-year-old man and an 82-year-old woman and a 30-year-old woman were taken to the hospital.

Both the 12-year-old boy and the 69-year-old man were pronounced dead, according to police.

Their identities have not been released pending family notification.

The 82-year-old woman remains in critical condition, authorities said.

Five firefighters were also injured, FDNY officials said.
