Video: 2 wanted for removing wheelchair from victim during robbery attempt

MOTT HAVEN, the Bronx — Two people are wanted in connection to an assault and attempted robbery in the Bronx last week.

The incident took place at 1:12 a.m. on July 18 at East 156th Street. One individual approached and distracted a 35-year-old man sitting in a wheelchair. Once the victim was distracted, the second person came from behind and pulled the chair from underneath him.

While on the ground, the victim was kicked in the face. The individuals searched the victims pockets but did not remove any property. They then fled in an unknown direction.

The investigation is ongoing, no arrests have been made.
