MORRISANIA, the Bronx — A third teen was arrested in the death of Juan Fresnada Friday, the man beaten over $1 in the Bronx on Christmas Eve, police said Saturday.
The latest suspect is a 14-year-old male, police said. He was arrested Friday just after 11:30 p.m. and faces charges of second degree murder, first degree gang assault and second degree gang assault.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested Monday afternoon, police said. He faces the same charges.
Fresnada, 60, died days after the violent robbery along Third Avenue and Boston Road in Morrisania, police said.
Fresnada and his husband, Bayron Caceras, were approached by a group who demanded their property just before 1:30 a.m. on Christmas Eve, authorities said.
When they refused, the suspects punched and kicked the couple and fled with $1, according to police.
Fresnada was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries on Dec. 27.
Police arrested 18-year-old Abu Conteh a week after the incident, police said. He faces gang assault and second-degree murder charges.
