Two robbers in the Bronx punch 69-year-old man in the face and snatch cash

On Jan. 17, two robbers in the Bronx attacked a man—hitting him with several blows to the face and taking off with cash, police said Friday.

The victim, 69, was standing outside of the Dollar Tree at 867 Longwood Ave. just after 6 p.m., according to cops.

That’s when one of the robbers punched the man in the face and the other snatched $45 out of his left hand, authorities said.

The thief who grabbed the cash went across the street and then ran off heading eastbound, while the other robber walked away in the same direction, the NYPD said.

Police said both men look to be in their 30s.

Surveillance video and photos show one man wearing a red baseball cap, a red jacket, a black shirt, blue jeans and gray sneakers; the other a dark-colored hooded jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.
