ALLERTON, the Bronx — A man is dead after a shooting in the Bronx Saturday afternoon, police said.

Authorities received a call at 3:20 p.m. for a man shot on Holland Avenue in the Allerton section of the Bronx. Officers discovered an unconscious, unresponsive 51-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the head and torso. EMS reponded and pronounced the victim dead on the scene.

There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
