Man caught on video repositioning security cameras during Bronx burglary

FORDHAM HEIGHTS, the Bronx — A man was caught on camera attempting to reposition security cameras before he allegedly stole nearly $900 worth of products from a Bronx building.

The incident occurred on Sept. 25 at a building along Morris Avenue and E 183rd Street in Fordham Heights, police said.

Around 9:45 p.m., the suspect gained entry through a basement door, police said.

Once he was inside, he removed about $895 worth of drills and garbage bags before fleeing in an unknown direction, according to police.

Authorities released surveillance video of him grabbing a long object to move around the security cameras positioned in the area.
