Man, 76, attacked on MTA bus in the Bronx: NYPD

MELROSE, the Bronx — Authorities are searching for a man wanted for questioning in connection to an assault of a 76-year-old man inside of a northbound MTA bus in the Bronx, police said Tuesday.

The incident happened around 12 p.m. on March 5 on a northbound BX 21 bus near the intersection of 158th Street and 3rd Avenue, according to a police spokesperson.

Officials said the suspect punched the victim in the face several times.

The man was taken to a local hospital by EMS with a broken nose and lacerations to the face. The suspect fled the scene.
