Gun-toting masked men tie up Bronx bodega owner in home, steal safes containing $50K: police

Man wanted after Bronx bodega owner robbed in home

MORRISANIA, the Bronx — An armed duo attacked and tied up a bodega owner in his Bronx apartment Wednesday night before stealing $50,000 from the home, police said.

According to authorities, the two masked men followed the victim into his building near Boston Road and East 168th Street just before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and then shoved him into his apartment as he opened the door.

Once inside the two armed men tied the victim's hands together with duct tape, officials said.

According to police, the robbers made off with two safes from the home containing a total of $50,000 in cash.

According to the Daily News, the victim is the owner of a Bronx bodega.

The NYPD has released the above image of one of the men they're looking for. Both men were last seen wearing black clothes and black masks. One wore red-and-black sneakers, police said.
