SOUNDVIEW, the Bronx — A double stabbing at a Bronx subway station left one man dead and another injured early Saturday, police said.

Authorities were called to an assault on the No. 6 train southbound platform at the Morrison Avenue-Soundview station around 4:30 a.m.

Officers arrived to find two men, ages 25 and 28, with stab wounds to their torso at the bottom of the stairs leading to the mezzanine area, according to police.

The 25-year-old man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

His identity has not been released, pending family notification.

The 28-year-old man was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

No arrests were made.
