MIDTOWN, Manhattan — A bit of mayhem in Manhattan ended with a man being stabbed Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The incident happened in Midtown near 41st Street and Eighth Avenue around 12:30 p.m., the authorities said.

Witnesses tell PIX11 a man was riding a bike near the intersection when he almost hit a pedestrian—and then someone was spat on.

Police said the pedestrian was stabbed. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witness said that the victim’s head was bloody, and a woman tried to intervene.

Authorities are looking for the bicyclist, who they describe as someone possibly in his late 20s, wearing a black coat and black pants.
