1 dead, 17 injured in 12 shootings overnight across city: police

NEW YORK — In a violent night across New York City, authorities are investigating 12 shootings over a 12-hour period, including one that left a man dead.

Seven of the shootings were in the Bronx, three in Brooklyn, one in Queens and one in Manhattan, according to police records.

At least 17 people were injured in the violence that started just after midnight. A 35-year-old man was fatally shot on Milford Street in Brooklyn. Police Chief Rodney Harrison tweeted out a video of the incident. (WARNING: The video in this tweet is extremely graphic.)

No arrests have been made.
