MASPETH, Queens — UPS employees have worked around the clock through the pandemic, but some of them took a quick break in Maspeth, Queens on Tuesday thanks to a teen.
About 100 workers were treated to a meal courtesy of 14-year-old Savannah Welcome and her family.
UPS has nearly half a million employees around the world delivering packages daily. To Welcome, having food delivered to her local UPS center was just a small token.
“UPS workers have been putting their lives on the line, so we really just wanted to show our appreciation," Welcome said. “It feels good to help someone who helps us all the time.”
