NEW YORK — As New York City goes through the life-changing challenges of the COVID-19 crisis, the Police Athletic League continues to provide the support city children and teens need to learn, grow and succeed throughout these unprecedented times.
Virtual PAL NYC is the Police Athletic League’s new free online platform where the young people of PAL can engage with their friends and mentors while keeping their minds active and have fun.
“During a time when our kids need us the most, we want them to know PAL is here for them,” said Frederick J. Watts, Executive Director of the Police Athletic League.
Watts spoke to PIX11 Morning News about the program and how kids can join virtual classrooms at their PAL centers throughout the five boroughs to enjoy extra-curricular activities. The PAL youth are also keeping busy by making “thank you” cards for front-line workers.
