NEW YORK — PIX11's Narmeen Choudhury spent weeks in isolation after she and her husband became sick.
Her husband tested positive for COVID-19. She and her daughters were symptomatic and then presumed positive.
Choudhury's husband was initially turned away at a Manhattan urgent care center, though several of his colleagues had tested positive for coronavirus. He returned, was tested and got his positive test results five days later.
He had a fever, chills, body aches and fatigue.
Then Choudhury developed a sore throat that developed into a persistent cough. She had body aches and difficulty breathing.
"This was nothing like the flu," she said. "Just when you think you’re feeling better, you’re suddenly not."
The family quarantined in their Manhattan apartment for nearly four weeks.
Choudhury shared her coronavirus experience in the video above.
