PATERSON, N.J. — The third-largest city in New Jersey will be closing down parks due to social distancing concerns during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The city of Paterson will be taking what its calling "additional precautionary measures" to enforce social distancing by closing all city parks starting Wednesday.

The announcement was made by Mayor Andre Sayegh. The parks will be closed "until further notice."

Paterson is the biggest city in Union County, which has 246 positive cases of coronavirus.
