NEW YORK — The New York City Department of Education announced Friday the closing of some schools and programs in Brooklyn and Staten Island after at least one confirmed coronavirus case.

In Brooklyn, NYC Public Schools said that Brooklyn College Academy high school will be closed Friday. Brooklyn College Academy is located on the campus of Brooklyn College, which will also close in full due to a self-reported positive COVID-19 case.

Additionally, all four Brooklyn Occupational Training Center locations, part of the city's District 75 program, will be closed Friday after a teacher self-reported as a positive COVID-19 case.

On Staten Island, New Dorp High School will be closed Friday, as well as the Richard H. Hungerford School satellite location at New Dorp High School. The two schools are within the same building and are closed after a student who attends classes on that campus tested positive for coronavirus.
