NEW YORK — New Yorkers can now vote for the winner of the state’s Wear a Mask Ad Contest.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s daughter, Mariah, unveiled the top five finalists Wednesday. The videos were aired during the governor’s daily coronavirus briefing.
Cuomo had announced on May 5 the state would run a contest asking New Yorkers to create and share a 30-second public service announcement explaining why it’s important to wear a mask amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The state received more than 600 submissions, according to Mariah Cuomo.
“We’re so grateful to everyone who submitted,” she said.
Beginning Wednesday, New Yorkers can visit wearamask.ny.gov to vote for their favorite video. Voting will close on Monday and the winner will be announced on Tuesday.
The finalists are:
- “You Can Still Smile” by Blue Slate Films/Natalia Bougadellis
- “We Love NY” by Bunny Lake Films
- “Do The Right Thing” by Ian Bell
- “We Are Compassion. We Are New York.” by Skyline99 Studios
