NEW YORK CITY — As New York City starts to slowly come down from the peak of our COVID-19 crisis, NYU Langone Health recently started asking their non-COVID patients to come in for "essential" in-person appointments.

Dr. Robert Cerfolio, executive vice president and vice dean and chief of hospital operations at NYU Langone, told PIX11's Betty Nguyen why he and other doctors feel it's time to resume care for certain patients with issues not directly related to coronavirus.

Plus, Cerfolio speaks on fears some patients might have of seeing a doctor or going to a hospital during this time.
