Commuter concerns from first overnight subway shutdown amid COVID-19

NEW YORK — For the first time in the MTA's history, the transit system shut down service overnight to conduct subway car and station disinfecting and cleaning.

Commuter advocates with the Straphangers Campaign are monitoring the service changes and disruptions to train and bus services in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.

They share what issues they've heard after the MTA's first nightly shutdown of the New York City subways for overnight cleaning.
