ALBANY, N.Y. — Help for New York City's medical workers is hopefully on the way thanks to some of the nation's biggest airlines.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo tweeted out Wednesday night that Delta, JetBlue, Southweat and United are all offering free travel to the city for medical workers to help with the coronavirus pandemic.
Thousands of Americans have have volunteered to help out the healthcare force, Cuomo says.
"Thank you from a grateful state!," he added.

They will help transport the thousands of Americans who have volunteered to serve in NY state's surge healthcare force.

New York has had 6,268 COVID-19 deaths total as of Wednesday and 142,384 people have tested positive.
