15% Pledge campaign supports black-owned businesses

NEW YORK — Several activists and organizations have been coming up with a number of ways to make changes to the current state of unrest in America.

A small business owner in Brooklyn came up with a viral campaign that calls on major retailers to dedicate 15% of their shelf space to black-owned businesses.

Aurora James, creative director of Brother Vellies and founder of the 15% Pledge campaign, spoke to PIX11 Morning News about how the campaign started, which companies are involved and how her business has been doing during the past few months.
