MANHATTAN — Lincoln Center may be temporarily closed because of the COVID-19 outbreak but that doesn’t mean the creative juices aren’t flowing elsewhere in New York City.

A talented young jazz musician has time on his hands because he’s self-quarantining and socially isolating, 29-year-old Benny Benack III, a graduate of Manhattan School of Music, rewrote the lyrics to “Put on a Happy Face” to fit these troubling coronavirus times and put the clip on YouTube.

“I turned my bedroom into a recording studio and I took this old showtune from 'Bye Bye Birdie' and it just seemed to work,” Benack III told PIX11 News in a socially distancing way, through FaceTime.

Another big YouTube and iTunes sensation, Brooklyn DJ I Markkeyz created a viral hit with a "corona viral remix" with Cardi B as the inspiration.

But if classical music is more your thing, The Metropolitan Opera is doing a free live stream of "Lucia di Lammermoor" on their Facebook page.

So much culturally happening on Facebook and YouTube to help you get through these difficult times.
