NEW YORK — The Actors Fund has already raised more than $10 million to help artists during the COVID-19 pandemic, a record. Now with Broadway closed until Labor Day, both actors and artists are working behind the scenes and need support more than ever.

Broadway’s Best Shows, launched a weekly one-night-only “Spotlight On Plays” series to benefit The Actors Fund.

The acclaimed play “Significant Other,” which plays on Thursday, reunites the original Broadway cast. Tamsen Fadal spoke with Tony-nominated actor Gideon Glick about the big event and how it will help make a difference.

The series will be livestreamed every Thursday at 8 p.m. EST on The Actors Fund YouTube channel and Broadway’s Best Shows YouTube and Facebook channels. Donations to The Actors Fund are encouraged.

"Significant Other" will be streamed May 14.

A.R. Gurney’s “Love Letters,” starring Bryan Cranston and Sally Field, will be streamed on May 21.

Additional productions will be announced soon.
