Cops arrest man allegedly tied to 2 Brooklyn killings

BROOKLYN — Police have arrested a man in connection to the 2017 death of a teen and the 2018 death of a man in Brooklyn.

Stephan Khadu, 22, was taken into custody and faces charges of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to both incidents, police said.

On Dec. 7, 2017, John Fernandez was found shot in the neck in the vicinity of Bainbridge Street and Broadway.

Fernandez, who was 17 at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Apr. 18, 2018, Claudell Gary, 17, was found shot in the neck and leg in front of Mt. Zion Pentacostal Holy Church on Hart Street. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Two other men; Christopher Garcia, 21, and Quazeer Farmer, 20; were also arrested in connection to Gary’s death and face second-degree murder and weapons charges.
